Tasting Notes / Comments: | Green gold in colour with lifted rosewater and tangerine characters on the nose. The wine has a very powerful ripe palate with a rich mouthfeel and a soft finish that are typical of the variety. The palate hints at tropical fruits and melons with a slight nutty complexity (most of us have one). Never having seen a Viognier out of Orange before it is hard to say how long this will cellar for but the chemistry would suggest that drinking it as a young wine would be more advantageous. Drink it with spicy food. Margan Family Wines (2002 vintage)
