Tasting Notes / Comments: | This Viognier comes forward with an intense, gorgeous yellow colour that will make your mouth water and has you thinking instantly of ripe fruit. An elaborate nose will then deliver the goods: peach, apricot and, if you will excuse the local remark, a traditional Chilean dessert made up of cherimoya (custard apple) marinated in orange juice. The fruit character plays along with a wooded side pitched in by a 7 month ageing season in French Oak barrels. In mouth this Viognier reveals big structure, good balance and persistence. This is a hearty, covetous wine. Vina Cono Sur S.A. (2002 vintage)
