Tasting Notes / Comments: | Pale green gold, mild aromas of peach and nectarine, with light citrus and melon flavors, a touch of anise, and good acidity. The wine showed better in a previous tasting suggesting that it may be fading fast, which is not uncommon for Viognier. Virginia Wine Guide (2001 vintage)
Elegant and refined, this 100% Viognier has aromas of pear and honeydew. The grapes were harvested at maximum ripeness, whole-cluster pressed, and fermented and aged in neutral oak barrels. This hedonistic wine has true varietal character and a lingering finish of nectar and melon. Cooper Vineyard (2001 vintage)
