Tasting Notes / Comments: | Strong creamy yellow colour with a magnificent nose - lemons, apricots together with flowers and oak. The taste is sweet for viognier - plenty of honey but the sharpness of apricots produces a tingling on the tongue that gives an edge to the vanilla oak flavours. Masses of fruit and cream. A wines with great length. 'Enjoying Viognier' (2001 vintage)
The palate is full and rich with a trademark Viognier phenolics showing through, but is softened out by low acidity to a lush finish. Pikes Wines (2001 vintage)
