Tasting Notes / Comments: | Rich and sweet on the nose with loads of apricot, pear and spice. Round, soft palate with plenty of jammy pit fruit hinting toward flabbiness. Has seen a good deal of oak but wears it pretty well. Aaron Breakstone (2002 vintage)
Bread pudding on the nose with lots of new oak and sweetness. Big, oily and ripe with a fig-like flavor, ripe apricot jam, sweet vanillin spice and a lengthy finish. A wine that is successful in its style. Virginia Wine Guide (2001 vintage)
It has inviting and exotic aromas of bright melon fruit and sweet flowers that are followed by a rich blend of peach, orange peel and pear essence on the palate. Renwood Winery (2000 vintage)
