Tasting Notes / Comments: | The 1999 vintage can be described simply as "a stroll in a peach orchard." The intense aroma of peaches and lime blossoms follows through to the palate and leads to a great balance of acidity, ripe tropical fruits and a clean finish. Lodi's warm temperatures and cool evenings have proven to be conducive in nurturing Viognier. Food suggestions: Summer green salads. Fresh stone fruit (apricots, peaches, nectarines) and figs. Goat cheese and crostini. Received a score of 84 from the Wine Enthusiast in their August/September issue Peirano Estate Vineyards (1999 vintage)
