Tasting Notes / Comments: | Our 2001 Viognier was made from low-yielding vines and carefully fermented in a combination of new French oak and stainless steel to maintain basic fruit dominance while introducing hints of vanilla and butterscotch. The result is a wine with a fresh apricot and cling peach nose yet displaying considerable size, length and mouth-feel on the palate. This is a very different, altogether exciting, wine that would complement a wide range of foods from pork and game to the more substantial fish and seafood dishes. Peerick (2001 vintage)
