Slightly greenish, golden in color. Nose is rather sweet - perfumed but sweet. Apricot, along with white peaches, Unfortunately weaker floral characters and acidity a bit lacking making the wine somewhat flabby. A bit too much vanilla from the oak competing with the viognier's own aromas. Joseph (1998 vintage)
