Tasting Notes / Comments: | Philippe Faury took over the family estate in 1979, which at that time comprised 2.5 hectares. Since then he has increased that figure to 11 hectares, spread over the appellations of Cote Rotie, Condrieu, St. Joseph Rouge and St. Joseph Blanc. Most of his wines are sold in France and we consider ourselves very fortunate indeed to have secured a small allocation of his very pure and elegant wines. The Condrieu is matured for 10 months on its fine lees, 10% in futs neufs, 30% in futs of between 2 and 5 years, and 60% in stainless steel everywine.co.uk (1999 vintage)
