Tasting Notes / Comments: | Wonderfully fragrant with mango and peach aromas. Dry and soft on the palate with balanced acidity. Packed with tropical fruits - mango and pineapple, a touch of spice and great length. Corks of Cotham (2000 vintage)
The grapes for this wine were grown by James' friend Paul Tietjen but not organically. James used his normal highly conscientious methods in the winery to produce a highly impressive wine. The very ripe grapes were whole bunch pressed and fermented in old barrels with indigenous yeasts. The flavours are subtle and Old World style - the mouthfeel is soft, the fruit is well balanced and polite, the acidity low. Highly recommended. Vinceremos Organic Wines (2000 vintage)
A small sniff of this wine transports you to the Rhone valley. This is a well structured wine - oaked, but not buttery with a superb balance between the strong pear and apricot flavours and good acidity. Savour it. 'Enjoying Viognier' (2000 vintage)
