Tasting Notes / Comments: | Pale straw in colour with a pungent, sweat oakiness on the nose. We smelt elderflower, honey and lemon. The taste was initially dry with lemons to the fore and a slight bitterness...... but there is a lot more to it than that and given a few moments to open out and an olive or two to consume while you are waiting and the true flavour appears with a lovely blend of acid and fruits - apricots and ripe pears and some nice length.... still not available in the UK 'Enjoying Viognier' (2001 vintage)
