Recommended by:... This ripe, honeysuckle-scented dry white with typical full-bodied, expressive, apricot fruit flavours of the variety ...
Anthony Rose, The Independent - 21 Jan 2002 (2000 vintage)

... a headier scent and more exotic flavours of apricot, peach and eastern spice
Joanna Simon, The Sunday Times - 17 Feb 2002 (2000 vintage)

... so it transpires as you raise the wine to the lips and the taste buds revel in subtle apricot fruit, lemon and a hint of nuttiness....

Tasting Notes / Comments:A fine example of wine made entirely from the Viognier grape. Typically aromatic with hints of white flowers and apricots, on the palate a smooth and refreshing wine. Can be drunk alone as a tasty apéritif or for example as an accompaniment for goats cheese or even mildly spicy and oriental food.
Pic Wines (2002 vintage)

Light lemon with a green tinge. The nose included a rubber or burnt smell … some likened it to mouldy cheese. Oak was also apparent. The taste was described as pungent with a hint of almonds or nutmeg. It had a good length.
